But, babysitting kids around water brings up a number of safety issues. Here are five questions to ask your babysitter to ensure that pool safety is her number one concern:

In the time you take to answer a phone call, a child could drown without making a sound. Approximately 5,000 children ages 14 and under are hospitalized due to drowning-related incidents each year.
