A new report on human trafficking says that approximately 1,000 American-born children are forced into the sex trade in Ohio each year. The report, done by the Trafficking in Persons Study Commission, blames the high numbers on Ohio's weak laws on human trafficking and proximity to the Canadian border.






YouTube has faced a lot of criticism from parents and safety groups over kids easily accessing inappropriate videos. Children can find sexually explicit, violent, and other dangerous content on the popular video site. Currently, YouTube relies on its users to follow community guidelines and to 'flag' videos they feel are inappropriate.
This year's Safer Internet Day focuses on keeping kids as young as five safe online. The online safety campaign, backed by the government and run by the UK Council for Internet Safety, was launched as part of EU Internet Safety Day.
Tomorrow (February 9) is International Safer Internet Day 2010, under the theme “Think B4 U Post.” Safer Internet Day 2010 will look at digital privacy, especially how we are managing online images. The aim of this year's Safer Internet Day 2010 is to help people become aware of the dangers of posting personal information online.
